Jasprit Bumrah, the world’s leading fast bowler, led India’s bowling charge during the first Test against England at Headingley, Leeds. Despite taking five wickets in the first innings, India lost the match by five wickets.

Bumrah, who was honored as the ICC Cricketer of the Year, made a guest appearance on ‘Who’s The Boss’ alongside his wife, Sanjana Ganesan. In a teaser for the episode, Sanjana shared a humorous anecdote before their marriage, where she playfully teased Bumrah.

Ganesan, a sports presenter, married Bumrah in March 2021. “Tum run-up per bhi nahi bhagte ho. Tum mere sath kya bhago (“You don’t even run during your run-up, so how could you run away with me?”). This was in reply to Bumrah’s suggestion that they run away together before their wedding.

Bumrah’s participation remains uncertain in the second Test. Tte team management, including chief selector Ajit Agarkar, head coach Gautam Gambhir, captain Shubman Gill, and Bumrah himself, have confirmed that he will play in only three of the five matches in the series against England.

Bumrah has made notable strides in Test cricket in England, having claimed 42 wickets across nine matches. He currently ranks as the third-highest wicket-taker for India in England, behind Ishant Sharma and Kapil Dev.

Ishant Sharma tops the list with 48 wickets from 14 Tests in England, while Kapil Dev follows closely with 43 wickets in 13 Test matches on English turf.
