As many as more than 50 tickets, worth Rs 140,396 were recovered from the persons arrested.

New Delhi: Black marketing of tickets continued to rise in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) as the Greater Chennai City Police arrested 12 persons in 10 cases in relation to the match between Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants that took place in Chepauk on Tuesday. According to a report in The Hindu, Chennai Police Commissioner Sandeep Rai Rathore and his police teams were on high alert and engaged in intensive surveillance and monitoring to detain those involved in close proximity to the stadium and nearby areas.

The arrested are named as T Elumalai (38) of Andhra Pradesh, Hayatbasha Noor Mohammad (38) of Triplicane, S Shyam (20) of T Nagar, S Kishore (27). Eight more people were also on the arrested list. These persons were booked for illegally selling tickets at high prices. From there tickets worth Rs 140,396 were. Proper legal action will be taken against the ones arrested.
