Mumbai: With less than a week to go for the announcement of India’s T20 World Cup squad, speculations are rife over who makes it and who misses out. From experts to fans, everybody is coming up with their own squads. Amid all this, former India cricketer Virender Sehwag predicted his India squad for the marquee event. While most of his squad was on predicted lines, there were a couple of surprises. He did not include Hardik Pandya and Sanju Samson in his squad. The other big surprise was that he had Sandeep Sharma in his squad after his heroics at the IPL recently.

There has also been reports recently that suggest India captain Rohit Sharma could be opening with premier batter Virat Kohli. But for Sehwag, he prefers Yashasvi Jaiswal with Rohit as openers. He does not have Shubman Gill in his side as well. Sehwag reckons there is going to be a toss-up between Shivam Dube and Rinku Singh for a spot in the squad. He has picked Kuldeep Yadav as the sole specialist spinner in the squad, which means Yuzvendra Chahal does not find a spot.

Rishabh Pant would be keeping wickets, while the pace battery would include, Jasprit Bumrah, Md. Siraj, and Sandeep.

As per reports, the BCCI will meet the selectors in a meeting that is set to take place in New Delhi on April 28-29. Rohit may also attend the meeting before the team is revealed.
