Delhi: Team India made a great start on the first day of the India-England Test being played in the headingley. Captain Ben Stokes won the toss and chose bowling first, but the Indian batsmen hit 359 runs. Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant shared a great partnership.
Great batting continued for the second day
On the second day too, Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant continued batting in the same rhythm. Both kept pressure on the English bowlers and did not allow the rungay to stop.
Funny conversation on Vox’s bouncer
In the 94th over of the match, when Chris Woakes bounced Pant, Pant threatened him. After this Gill laughed and told Pant, “You would kill this ball.” Pant replied, “Suddenly a long ball has come, sometimes one has to give a response.” Both blossomed after hearing this.
Special celebration was done as soon as the century was completed
Rishabh Pant scored a six in the 99th over and completed his seventh Test century and the third century in England. He hit 10 fours and 5 sixes in this innings. As soon as the century was completed, Pant celebrated by putting a cartweel in his special style, just as he did in the IPL.
