Delhi: On the first day of the Leeds Test, where the Indian batsmen beat the England bowlers fiercely, former India cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu has also launched a scathing attack on former England captain Michael Vaughan. Describing Von as a ‘fool’, Sidhu said in a video, “Fools do not need to pour water.”

In fact, before the series started, Michael Vaughan confidently claimed that India had come to lose again and England would win this series 3–1. He questioned Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma’s leadership ability and described him as inexperienced. But, India batted brilliantly on the first day and made its first day highest score of Test history against England and proved Von’s prediction wrong.

Sidhu criticized Vauan fiercely

In a video shared by Star Sports, Sidhu said, “Michael Vaughan, your predictions always prove wrong.” He also reminded of the 2020/21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, when von ignored the Indian team struggling with injuries, but India created history by defeating Australia 2–1 on his land. Sidhu also mentioned the final of the recent ICC World Test Championship 2025, in which Vauan predicted Australia’s victory, while South Africa won the title.

‘The hen also makes such a noise while eggs’

Sidhu also lashed out at England’s bowling. He taunted, “Look at your bowling line-up, they look like a pedestrian. The batsmen of India are playing against him, as if you are facing spinners in net practice. And yes, just a noise is not proved anything. The hen also makes a noise while giving the eggs, as if the meteorite is falling.”

Indian team in strong position

The brilliant batting of Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal did not allow England bowlers to run on the first day in Leeds’s headingley. India ended the day at 359/3 and pushed England completely on the backfoot. In such a situation, it will now be seen how Team India performs on the second day.
