CSK vs LSG: Chennai Super Kings’ opener batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad blew away Lucknow Supergiants by playing an explosive innings. Chennai team, which came to bat first in the 39th match of IPL, took a tough time with the bowlers of Lucknow. With the help of opening batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad’s stormy innings and Shivam Dubey’s explosive innings in the middle order, CSK has set a target of 210 runs after losing four wickets in front of Lucknow.

Lucknow’s bowlers looked helpless in front of Chennai’s batsmen. After the early dismissal of Ajinkya Rahane, captain Ruturaj took charge and stood till the end. Gaikwad, who returned not out, played a brilliant inning of 108 runs with the help of 60 balls. In this innings he targeted every bowler of Lucknow. Apart from this, Ravindra Jadeja also played a slow inning of 19 runs for Chennai. After Dubey was run out in the 20th over of the innings, fans once again saw Mahi batting. However, Mahi played only one ball and hit a four on it, taking CSK’s score to 210 runs at the loss of four wickets.

Along with Gaikwad’s century, many records were also made in this match. With this inning, Ruturaj also became the fifth batsman to score the highest number of individual runs for Chennai. Earlier this feat was achieved by four batsmen from Chennai, of which Murali Vijay’s inning of 127 runs played against Rajasthan Royals is at the top. Apart from this, Shane Watson has played an unbeaten inning of 117 runs, Michael Hussey has played an unbeaten inning of 116 runs and Murali Vijay has played an unbeaten inning of 108 runs.
