Star spinner Radha Yadav gets a place in Indian women’s team, this shocking player out before touring England

Delhi: Left -arm spinner Radha Yadav has been included in the Indian women’s team as a replacement in place of Shuchi Upadhyay in the Indian women’s team for the tour of England. Shuchi Upadhyay has to be out of the tour due to injury to the left foot calf.

Upadhyay made his ODI debut against South Africa during a tri -series held in Sri Lanka. He was selected in the T20 International team for the first time for the England Tour.

The BCCI said that the injury came to light during the pre-tour camp at the BCCI Center of Excellence (CO) in Bangalore.

Shuchi performed brilliantly in the Senior Women’s ODI Trophy held in December last year. He took 18 wickets in 9 innings. During this period, his economy was 3.48 and average of 15.44. He was also elected Player of the Tournament and due to his performance, his team won this trophy by Madhya Pradesh.

Radha Yadav has played 7 ODIs and 84 T20 international matches so far. He last played for India in December 2024 against the West Indies, where he took 4 wickets. However, he was not included in the team for the ODI matches followed by this.

Prior to the West Indies series, Radha took the most wickets in the ODI series against New Zealand at home ground. India’s women’s team will play the first five T20 international matches in the series against England starting on 28 June. After this there will be three ODI matches.
