After winning the title of IPL 2025, information about selling the franchise of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) was coming out, where now McDowable Whiski -making company United Spirits have now given a huge information, refuting all these things. The company has stated that whatever discussion is going on about selling RCB’s stake, it is just based on estimates. The company is not part of any such conversation.

In fact, a report by Bloomberg reported that United Spirits are thinking about selling their IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore for two billion dollars i.e. about 17000 crores, which was being claimed that Diazio wants to focus on the main business of their liquor by selling its IPL team RCB.

RCB not being sold

RCB

In fact, after the end of IPL 2025, it was being claimed that after 18 years, the Commercial Value team of RCB has increased the trophy and this could be the right time to sell. Apart from this, the Union Ministry of Health is demanding a complete ban on direct or indirect advertisements of alcohol and tobacco in big sports events like IPL.

Actually the core of United Spirits is of business liqueur. If the propagation of alcohol is banned, the company will not be able to endorse itself with its team. In such a situation, Diazio wants to separate himself from the IPL, but now all these things have come to an end.

In this way Diazio became the owner

Earlier, liquor businessman Vijay Mallya was the owner of this team but when his bad phase started in 2016, Diazio bought his liquor company as well as RCB. And became the owner by purchasing 54% stake and how in the first edition of the IPL in 2008, how to control RCB through United Spirits, Vijay Mallya bought it for Rs 476 crore which was the second most expensive IPL team of that time.
