At least 10 dead in stampede outside Chinnaswamy
While six deaths have been confirmed at Bowring Hospital in Shivajinagar, authorities at Vaidehi Hospital on Mallya Road said that of the 15 injured who had been admitted there, four people had died.
“We did everything we could. I don’t blame the police; managing such a huge crowd was beyond anyone’s control. That’s why we avoided using the open vehicle for the players and wrapped up the program within 10 to 15 minutes to ensure safety,” said Karnataka Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar.

A shortened celebration
Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar says, “I have spoken to the Police Commissioner and everyone. I will also go to the hospital later. IPL Final Report
RCB is no longer the bridesmaid. From being a three-time runner-up, RCB finally scaled the peak to lay claim to the IPL trophy.
Seventeen editions of yearning and heartbreak turned into unadulterated joy for the massive fanbase as RCB shut out Punjab Kings by six runs in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium here on Wednesday.
Virat Kohli, the owner of a dazzling array of titles and milestones, added the one highlight missing in the list. Rajat Patidar, in his first season as RCB captain, achieved what many of his exalted predecessors – Kohli, Anil Kumble, Rahul Dravid, to name a few – could not attain.
