The list for the BBL 2025 Draft has been announced, where a few top international players are featuring in the list.

Ahead of the top-tier T20 competition in Australia, CA has announced the list of players who were included in the first nomination sets ahead of the 2025-26 Big Bash League season.

Several internationals like Shaheen Afridi, Jemimah Rodrigues and Kusal Perera are among the players among the grabs in the upcoming BBL and WBBL drafts.

What is the BBL Draft?

The BBL draft is a process where teams can select overseas players. Instead of an auction, the teams are serially placed in a draft and during their turn, the team picks one of their own choice.

The BBL draft will be compromised of multiple rounder, with the serial reversing in each to give fair chances to all teams.

A total of four categories have been kept by the management committee to nominate the overseas players. The draft will have four categories:

Round 1: Platinum only

Round 2: Platinum or Gold

Round 3: Gold or Silver

Round 4: Silver or Bronze

Each category will have a different remuneration amount with the Platinum set as the highest bracket.
