As per a report by ESPN Cricinfo, Tongue bowled just four overs in the second innings before walking off the field due to discomfort.
He had earlier taken two wickets in the first innings and was expected to be part of the playing XI at Headingley.The 26-year-old made his Test debut in 2023 and has played three matches so far, claiming 12 wickets. With his availability now uncertain, England's fast bowling attack appears severely weakened just days before the series opener on June 20.
