Andre Russell Returns to West Indies Squad for England T20Is

The West Indies players Jason Holder and Andre Russell have been recalled to the West Indies Squad for England T20Is.

With Holder’s return to the T20I setup after a year, Andre Russell is returning after an injury cut in his last appearance against England at Barbados.

Meanwhile, Nicholas Pooran has been rested for the series after the extended campaign in the IPL 2025.

Test captain Roston Chase will play in the England series before departing for the test squad camp ahead of the upcoming test series against Australia. He will mark the beginning of the two sides’ next WTC cycle.

The England T20I series will be the first assignment for Rovman Powell as T20I captain. Powell who oversaw a 0-3 defeat at home to Bangladesh in his final series in charge, retained his spot.

Roston Chase will also depart after the England series to return to the Caribbean ahead of Australia’s tour. Jyd Goolie earns his maiden call-up to the senior team after an impressive domestic season in Chase’s place.

England secured a 3-0 win in the ODI series and will be aiming to replicate the success in the short format also while West Indies will be aiming to secure a win in T20I series.

The T20I series will begin on June 06 at Riverside Ground while the second and third T20Is will be played on June 08 and 10 at Seat Unique Stadium and The Ageas Bowl.
