Virat Kohli gave everything to Royal Challengers Bengaluru before he tasted success in the 18th season of the tournament. He finally realized what it meant to be an IPL champion. The 36-year-old turned emotional after RCB defeated Punjab Kings by 6 runs in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Former India player Sachin Tendulkar shared a special post for Kohli.
He scored 43 runs off 35 balls and was in the middle till the 15th over of the RCB innings. He was not at his but Kohli’s knock played a key role in taking the total to 190/9 in 20 overs. Bengaluru bowlers then restricted PBKS to 184/7, with Krunal Pandya taking two wickets. Kohli, who is associated with RCB from day one of the league, collapsed on the ground.

The 36-year-old Kohli opined on his team’s win. “I’ve given this team my youth and my prime. The heartbreaking moments of the past 17th seasons flashed in front of my eyes and I couldn’t stop myself from crying,” Virat Kohli said.
“This victory is right up there with the best moments of my career and I want to sleep like a baby after winning the trophy. This is my only wish,” he added.
