The IPL 2025 will get a new champion with Royal Challengers Bengaluru taking on Punjab Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The closing ceremony was organised ahead of the game. Shankar Mahadevan, the National award-winning singer and his sons dedicated musical performances to the Indian Armed Forces for their success in Operation Sindoor. He urged everyone to sing along with him.

Shankar Mahadevan sang ‘Ae Watan’, ‘Lehra Do’ and ‘Kandho Se Milte Hain Kadam’. The fans joined him in honouring the valour of the Armed Forces. His sons Shivam and Siddharth were also present with him. Virat Kohli’s wife, Anushka Sharma, BCCI President Roger Binny, and other officials witnessed this from the stands.

PBKS-RCB were the top two franchises after the league stage

RCB started the season with a win over Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens. Punjab defeated Gujarat Titans in their first match at the Narendra Modi Stadium. While Punjab topped the group stage, RCB were in second. RCB won all seven away matches. Bengaluru defeated Punjab in the Qualifier-1 match.
