After thrilling contests in the playoffs, Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has come down to its last game. In the final of the world toughest league, Royal challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will face-off Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Tuesday, June 3. The winner of this clash will have their hands on the title for the first time after along wait of 18 years.
RCB will enter the final with boosted confidence after a scintillating win in Qualifier 1 against the same side. With several match-winners in their ranks, RCB will look to replicate that performance in the summit clash. Led by Rajat patidarRCB have displayed quality cricket across all three departments. Their batting, featuring the likes of Virat Kohli and Phil Salthas shown composure and aggression. Meanwhile, their bowling unit looks even stronger with the return of Josh Hazlewood.
PBKS, on the other hand, registered an emphatic win against Mumbai Indians (MI) in Qualifier 2. Skipper Shreyas Iyer has been in red-hot form, leading the side well. Their bowling attack also appears formidable, especially with the return of leg-spinner Yuzvendra chahal. Punjab will look to settle scores with RCB, and there’s no better stage than the final to do so. However, their opening pair, who had been phenomenal throughout the tournament, have struggled in the last two games, which might be a concern heading into the final.
RCB and PBKS share an evenly matched rivalry in the IPL, with both teams winning 18 games each out of 36 encounters, highlighting their fiercely competitive and balanced head-to-head record.
