South Africa cricket team will take on Zimbabwe in a four-day warm-up fixture ahead of the all-important World Test Championship (WTC) final 2025 against Australia.
South Africa are set to take on Australia in the WTC final from June 11 at Lord's.
, the Proteas will play a practice game against Zimbabwe from June 3 in England at Arundel Castle Cricket Ground in Sussex. South Africa's last appearance in the longest format came during the two-match series against Pakistan in January 2025, where they emerged victorious by 2-0.
On the other hand, Zimbabwe recently played a historic one-off Test against England after 22 years, where they lost by an innings and 45 runs. They will be without Sikandar Raza, Blessing Muzarabani and Richard Ngarava. Despite that, they are otherwise expected to field a strong outfit, with the likes of Sean Williams, Bennett, Victor Nyauchi, Clive Madande, and Craig Ervine in the mix.
Following the warm-up game, Zimbabwe will also host South Africa for a two-match Test series from 28th June. The two teams last played a one-off Test back in December 2017, where South Africa won by an innings and 120 runs. Overall, South Africa have played nine Tests vs Zimabwe and won eight with one game ending in a draw.
