Delhi: Powerful all-rounder Sunil Narine is in tremendous form in the current edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). This all-rounder from West Indies, who plays for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), is making waves in IPL 2024. Interestingly, Narine, famous for his spin bowling, has wreaked more havoc with the bat than the ball so far this season.

Seeing the performance of the left-handed opener in the 17th season of IPL, the discussion of him playing the T20 World Cup in 2024 has gained momentum, but West Indies all-rounder Sunil has announced that he will not play the upcoming ICC tournament. Naren has given this information by posting on social media.

35-year-old Sunil Narine wrote in his Instagram story, “I hope you all are well. After my recent performances, many people believe that I will make a comeback to international cricket and play the T20 World Cup for West Indies, but no, I will not make a comeback. I will not represent West Indies in the T20 World Cup.”

He further wrote, “Congratulations to the West Indies players playing in the T20 World Cup. I want to see West Indies win the tournament. I want that the players who have worked hard in recent times should get a chance to play in the World Cup. I want West Indies to become T20 World Cup champion once again.”

It is noteworthy that after his brilliant performance in this season of IPL, Sunil Narine was expected to play in the T20 World Cup, but now he himself has denied these speculations.
