The Indian Premier League is the number 1 Cricket League in the world. In India, IPL is celebrated as a festival as players from many countries participate in the Indian Premier League. The IPL is known for exciting matches among franchises. While every second game in the IPL is a close match, there are some sports where the result is decided on the last ball, which is also known as the last ball thriller. We will look at the top 3 last ball finish of IPL history.

Number 3- The final of IPL 2017 which was played between Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Stars. Batting first, Mi gave a target of just 130 runs which looked like an easy win for RPS. RPS did not start well but when Steve Smith and MS Dhoni were batting in the middle, things were under control. With great bowling and dot balls, MI took the match to the last over where RPS needed 11 runs in six balls. Mitchell Johnson was putting the 20th over for MI. On the first ball, Manoj Tiwari hit Johnson but was dismissed on the next ball. RPS needed 7 runs in 4 balls but Steve Smith was out on the third ball. RPS needed 4 runs off the last ball, Christian and Sundar ran 2 but Sundar was run out and MI won the match by 1 run and became the first IPL team to win 3 trophy.

Number-2-Historic match between Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings in IPL 2022. Where there was a thrilling match between the two teams till the last ball. Punjab Kings batted first and gave a target of 190 runs. The Gujarat Titans with Hardik Pandya and David Miller at the crease scored 171-3. GT had a difficult situation in front of GT as he needed 19 runs in just 6 balls. The last over for Punjab Kings was thrown by Odia Smith, she started with a wide ball but was warmly out on the next balls and the difficulties for GT increased. Rahul Tewatia came for batting and hit 2 sixes off the last two balls and became the star of the match and the Gujarat Titans won the match.

Number-1, IPL 2023, the historic match of the previous season KKR vs Gujarat Titans which was played in Ahmedabad. Batting first, GT gave a target of 204 runs which seemed a good target. KKR opener failed to give a good start but influential player Venkatesh Iyer scored a good innings of 83 runs in 40 balls. Captain Nitish Rana also scored an innings of 45 runs but somehow the KKR got stuck in the last over where he needed 29 runs. Yash Sayal was putting his last over for GT. On the first ball, Umesh Yadav took a single and gave the strike to Rinku Singh. Then something happened that did not expect at all. Rinku hit Yash Dayal 5 consecutive sixes and won the team. KKR won the match by 3 wickets.
