The performance of Punjab Kings captained by Shreyas Iyer in the qualifier match of IPL 2025 was very disappointing. In this match played at Mullanpur Cricket Stadium, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) won the toss and decided to bowl first, which proved to be perfect for the team.

Punjab’s batting stumbled from the beginning. Priyansh Arya, who was in excellent form, was dismissed early after scoring only 7 runs. Suyash was adjudged ‘Player of the Match’ for a brilliant performance (3 wickets). The entire team of Punjab was reduced to only 101 runs.

Fans of Punjab Kings looked very sad due to this defeat. Yuzvendra Chahal’s roomy girlfriend RJ Mahv, who was present at the stadium, was also disappointed. She was supporting Punjab in the stands with Ut -October mascot Mishra, and pictures of her reaction are now becoming viral on social media.

RCB achieved the target of 102 runs in just 10 overs. Virat Kohli was dismissed for 12 runs, but Phil Salet won the team by scoring an unbeaten 56. With this, RCB has reached the IPL final for the fourth time.

Now Punjab Kings will have to win in qualifier-2 to stay in the title race. They will compete with the winning team of the match between Eliminator Winner – Guzrat Titans and Mumbai Indians.
