Former India opener Aakash Chopra said that RCB will not be impacted by their past results when they play the IPL final on June 3. He commented after Anant Tyagi highlighted that Bengaluru have lost three finals in the past, and the upcoming fourth title shot match might put the franchise under pressure. However, Chopra didn’t agree and opined on the matter. Meanwhile, RCB defeated Punjab Kings by 8 wickets in Qualifier 1 after restricting the rival team to 101 runs in 14.1 overs in New Chandigarh.

Rajat Patidar-led team reached the target in 10 overs, with Phil Salt scoring an unbeaten 56 runs, with the help of 6 boundaries and 3 sixes. Suyash Sharma was named the Player of the Match for taking three wickets from his three overs. Apart from him, Josh Hazlewood also dismissed three batters, while Yash Dayal claimed two scalps.

“We are a team on a mission. Impossible is possible now. I don’t think they would think about the past results. You can’t think about a mistake committed in the third standard in college days. The past finals have no relevance now. RCB have the momentum and they will capitalize on it,” Aakash Chopra said.

“They will not think about their previous match against LSG forget about the past seasons,” he added.

“RCB will have to play another good team,” Sanjay Bangar

Former India player and RCB coach Sanjay Bangar mentioned that the franchise will have to be clinical in one more game. “RCB will have to give their best performance in one more game. They can’t take the remaining teams lightly. Bengaluru players will have to give their 100 percent in the final,” he said.
