Punjab Kings defeated Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets to confirm their top-two finish in the Indian Premier League 2025. PBKS will get two chances to make it to the final. On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bengaluru have a chance to join Punjab if they beat Lucknow Super Giants in their last league match on May 27. If they lose, Gujarat Titans will get the second spot. MI have finished fourth in the standings after registering 16 points from 14 matches.

Punjab Kings accumulated 19 points from 14 contests, their finest season after a long time. Chasing 184 runs, Shreyas Iyer’s team completed the chase in 18.3 overs, with Josh Inglis and Priyansh Arya scoring fifties.

Earlier, MI batters struggled to time the ball. Suryakumar Yadav (57 runs off 39 balls) and Naman Dhir (20 runs off 12 balls) took the total to 184/7 in 20 overs. Arshdeep Singh, Marco Jansen and Vijaykumar Vyshak took two wickets each.
