Will Jacks explained the main factor that makes Suryakumar Yadav so consistent in the IPL as MI batter has continued his stunning form.

Suryakumar has had a score of 20-plus in every game that he has batted in this season and has scored 583 runs in 13 games so far.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference ahead of the important MI vs PBKS, Jacks said that it is very tricky to be as consistent as Suryakumar with the bat in the tournament. The England batter hailed Suryakumar as a hard worker and said that he has a different preparation when it comes to each venue and the bowlers he is going to play.

Jacks said that the 34-year-old can adapt to any situation, and he has learned a lot by watching him.

"I think he's brilliant and, like you say, he's had a fantastic season. To be consistent in every game as he has is really tricky. We all know that, so it's very special what he's done. He's a very hard worker."

"He prepares for each different venue and each bowler he's going to play. He has his plan, and he sticks to that, so I'd say that's contributed a lot to his consistency and starting fresh every game. He's very flexible. He can bat in the powerplay and at the end.

He played a brilliant innings the other day, right through the innings."

"I think being able to be adaptable and be in every situation has really contributed to his consistency. I've definitely learned a lot from watching him, and he's been very open in the change room as well," said Jacks.

'The MI camp is feeling good'

Jacks said that the mood in the camp is good as they have qualified for the playoffs. With the top two spots up for grabs, the MI all-rounder feels that everyone has slotted back into the rhythm well. Jacks said that every team wants to finish as high as possible.

"Yeah, the camp is feeling good. We've been progressing nicely throughout the competition. We were playing well before the break, and since we've come back, we've felt good and just slotted back into the rhythm we had earlier. Every team wants to finish as high as possible. We're very happy to have qualified, and we've got an important game tomorrow," said Jacks.
