How many warm-up matches will India play before T20 World Cup 2024?

The ninth edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup is scheduled to be co-hosted by the West Indies and the United States from June 2 to June 29. The forthcoming tournament will be the first ICC World Cup tournament to be held in the United States. Co-host United States and Canada will inaugurate the event at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas on June 2. The tournament will feature 20 qualified teams, with 55 matches to be played overall. The teams are split up into four groups, with five teams in each group. The teams which finish on positions 1 and 2 from each group advance to the Super 8 Round. The qualified teams will be divided into two groups of four. From these groups, the top-performing teams move on to the knockout stage, consisting of two semi-finals and a final. Depending on their arrival time, each of the 20 teams can play up to two warm-up matches prior to the major event. The teams will have complete control over whether they want to play two games or make do with just one before the competition commences. Meanwhile, each team's roster may include up to 15 players and needs to be announced before May 1. Modifications are still permitted through May 25, but anything beyond that needs approval from the ICC Technical Committee. The prize money will be disclosed in due course of time.
