Rajasthan spent Rs 12.50 crore on England fast bowler Jofra Archer, but his performance faded extremely. Archer took just 11 wickets in 12 matches and could not keep the run pace. His bowling did not see the edge for which he is known.

Indian batsman Nitish Rana was expected to handle the middle order, but he scored just 217 runs in 11 matches. His strike rate was also average and he failed to handle the team in difficult times.

Shubham Dubey failed in the role of finisher

Rajasthan gave young batsman Shubham Dubey several opportunities in IPL 2025, especially to finish the match in the last overs. But Shubham scored only 106 runs in 9 matches and could not play a single impressive innings. His strike rate was also much lower than expectation.

Flawed Farooqui’s edge lost bowling

Afghanistan fast bowler Fazalhak Farooqui was used in the death overs, but could neither take the wicket nor stop the run. His economy rate remained high and proved to be a weak link to the team.

Due to the frequent flop of big players, the balance of the team deteriorated and the rhythm of victory could never be made. Neither the captain got the right combination, nor did the players take advantage of the opportunity. In such a situation, Rajasthan management can now make a new strategy based on experience and performance.

Rajasthan Royals are now preparing to form a new team. By releasing these four players, the franchise can turn to new talents which are helpful in changing the fate of the team. This bad season of IPL 2025 may give RR a chance to make a new beginning.
