Mumbai Indians qualify for playoffs after 59 runs win over Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025

Mumbai Indians became the fourth and last team to qualify for the payoffs in the Indian Premier League 2025. MI defeated Delhi Capitals by 59 runs to confirm their place in the second round. Chasing 181 runs to win, DC were bowled out for 121 runs in 18.2 overs. Vipraj Nigam (20) and Sameer Rizvi (39) got starts but couldn’t carry on. Mitchell Santner took three wickets and gave away just 11 runs from four overs. Jasprit Bumrah also added three scalps to his bowling figures.

Earlier, Hardik Pandya’s team was in a danger of getting dismissed below the 150-run mark.

However, Suryakumar Yadav and Naman Dhir went all out against the rival bowlers to take the score to 180/5. Suryakumar accumulated an unbeaten 73 runs off 43 balls, with the help of 7 fours and 4 sixes.

Naman managed 24 not out in 8 deliveries, packed with 2 fours and 2 sixes. Kuldeep Yadav took 1 wicket and conceded 22 runs from his four overs.
