Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will face Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 62th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Tuesday. The clash will take place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. With both teams are out of the contest, the game is expected to give some standout performances with no pressure of qualification on either side.
The five-time champions CSK have endured a nightmare season. Outplayed in all departments, CSK have managed just 6 points from 11 games and sit at the bottom of the table. Poor auction decisions and a misfiring batting lineup have hurt them badly. Still, a few bright spots have emerged—youngster Ayush mhatre has shown promise, Dewald Brevis has displayed glimpses of power, and Urvil Patel looks like a long-term option.
Rajasthan haven’t fared much better. Their middle order has failed to click, and the gamble on Riyan parag hasn’t paid off. Letting go of If Buttler now looks like one of the worst auction calls in IPL history. Yashasvi jaiswal has fought hard at the top but lacked support. With playoffs slipping away, RR will be hoping young guns like Dhruv jurel and Shubhman Dubey finish strong.

The Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi is known for its dry surface that tends to assist spinners as the game progresses. Early on, batters can enjoy the pace and true bounce making strokeplay easier, especially under lights. However, as the match wears on, the pitch tends to slow down offering grip and turn for spinners. Short boundaries at both ends make it a high-scoring venue, but bowlers who vary their pace can find success. Dew often plays a factor in evening games making chasing slightly easier. Overall, it’s a balanced pitch that offers something for both batters and bowlers.
