Sunrisers Hyderabad spoiled Lucknow Super Giants’ party, eliminating Rishabh Pant’s side from the playoff race. LSG needed to win all of their remaining three games, but a 6-wicket defeat at home ended their chances. Chasing 206 runs, the visitors completed the task in 18.2 overs. Abhishek Sharma (59), Ishan Kishan (35), Heinrich Klaasen (47) and Kamindu Mendis (32) batted well for the Sunrisers. Digvesh Rathi took two wickets for Lucknow.

Earlier, Aiden Markram (61) and Mitchell Marsh (65) runs added 115 runs for the first wicket. Nicholas Pooran (45) provided the finishing touches to take the score to 205/7 in 20 overs. Eshan Malinga dismissed two batters.
