The Wk-batter KL Rahul made a stunning knock during the IPL 2025 game between Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans on May 18 at Arun Jaitley Stadium.

His 112* off 65 deliveries have helped the side to post 199 runs in Sunday’s clash. Batting first, KL Rahul and Faf du Plessis opened the innings while Mohammed Siraj opened the Bowling attack.

After du Plessis was dismissed for 5 runs by Arshad Khan, Abhishek Porel and KL Rahul went on to score 45 runs in the powerplay.

With Sai Kishore and Prasidh bagging the wickets of Abhishek Porel and Axar Patel for 30 and 25 runs respectively, KL Rahul went on to slam his fifty in the meantime.

KL Rahul went on to score 112* runs, which included 14 fours and 4 sixes in their innings, with Tristan Stubbs remaining unbeaten with 21 runs on Sunday’s clash.

Speaking at the toss, Shubman Gill said, “We will bowl first. Not easy to start all over again, but good rest for our pacers, KG comes back, that’s a positive for us. We’ve had a good run, but we have three games and we’re looking to win all of them.”

“That’s the thing with every match, we have to start fresh, our fielding hasn’t been the best, we’ve worked hard on it. We’re hoping that everyone will come back and perform, looks like a good wicket, plenty ofhigh scores, just one change, Rabada comes back,” concluded Shubman Gill.

On the other hand, Axar Patel said, “We too wanted to bowl first, but we’ll now looks to post a good total. We’re taking one game at a time, not thinking too far ahead, not thinking too much about qualificiation, just taking it one at a time.”

“I respect his personal decision (on Starc), but I want players to be 100% fit, just thinkabout the plans. The same combination – three pacers and three spinners, Vipraj Nigam replaces Madhav Tiwari, Mustafizur replaces Starc,” concluded Axar Patel.
