Jaipur- In the match number 59 of the Indian Premier League 2025, Rajasthan Royals (RR) will compete with Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. While the Rajasthan team has been out of the playoff race, Punjab Kings need only one win to reach the final four.
Rajasthan Royals season was disappointing
Rajasthan Royals have so far registered only 3 wins in 12 matches and are ninth in the table. The bowling of the team’s fast bowlers Jofra Archer and Sandeep Sharma has seen the bowling look weak. However, captain Sanju Samson is returning from the injury, which can give morale to the team. The captaincy has been lifted from Ryan Parag and Samson will once again lead the team.
Punjab Kings’s strong move towards playoffs
Punjab Kings are performing brilliantly this season under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer. The team has scored 15 points in 11 matches so far and is third. Today’s victory can give him a place in the playoffs. However, the unavailability of foreign players is a matter of concern for the team. Stoinis, Hardy and English are absent, while Mich Owen and Xavier Bartlets are included.
