The youngsters Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad have been named in the India A squad for the upcoming tour of England.

The 18-member squad will be led by Abimanyu Easwaran, who will be bolstered by several stars like Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill for the second game.

Stars like Karun Nair, Tanush Kotian, Nitish Reddy and Akash Deep have been added to the squad. Meanwhile, Shardul Thakur has been rewarded with a call-up for his impressive performance in the domestic circuit.

On the other hand, Sarfaraz Khan who has been out of action due to long-term injury, has been added to the squad.

Meanwhile, Gaikwad’s inclusion indicates that Maharashtra batter is at an final stage of his elbow injury which he sustained during the IPL 2025 season which caused him to be ruled out of the tournament.

Devdutt Padikkal who featured in the India A tour of Australia last year, has been sidelined due to hamstring injury. Apart from him, Ricky Bhui, Baba Indrajith, Abhishek Porel, Yash Dayal and Navdeep Saini are the others who missed the spot in the upcoming tour.

The tour games will give the players like Jaiswal and Reddy to study the England conditions. With their respective IPL teams (Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad) are out of tournament, they will be available for the first game between India A and England Lions on May 30.

If Gujarat Titans qualifies for the finals, Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill will only little time to travel and adapt for England conditions as the second game will begin on June 06.
