Rohit Sharma‘s stand was unveiled at the Wankhede Stadium on May 16. It was a momentous and emotive occasion for one of the legendary cricketers. The event, attended by his parents, wife Ritika Sajdeh, and close friends. Rohit and his brother, Vishal Sharma, had a lighthearted conversation.
Rohit noticed a scratch on his car as he and his family were leaving the stadium after the ceremony. He became concerned and questioned his brother about the damage.
“What is this?” Rohit asked his brother. “It got hit in reverse,” Vishal replied. Rohit gave a long death-stare.
However, the brothers quickly found humour and stared laughing. Rohit also helped his father get into the car.
Earlier, Rohit and his family were honoured during the grand ceremony. It further cemented Rohit’s legacy as one of Mumbai’s cricketing icons.
“It will be a special moment on the May 21 when I come back to Wankhede to play against Delhi Capital. The feeling will get more special when I represent my country in the future,” Rohit told ANI.
Mumbai have 14 points from 12 matches and they will have to win the remaining two to make it to the playoffs.
