England players Jofra Archer, Jamie Overton and Sam Curran will be missing the rest of the IPL 2025. However, players like Jos Buttler, Will Jacks, Liam Livingstone and Jacob Bethell will be reaching the country after completing their IPL duties.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) official has said that his understanding is some England players are returning to complete the league while some have chosen to withdraw from the tournament.

According to reports from the ECB and franchises, Jos Buttler, former England White ball captain, will reach Ahmedabad on Wednesday night, and the same is the case with Will Jacks.

Liam Livingstone, the all-rounder from Lancashire who is with Royal Challengers Bengaluru is believed to be on a flight to Bengaluru. However, there is no clarity on Phil Salt.

Chennai Super Kings have confirmed that Sam Curran and Jamie Overton are not coming back and the franchise are not in urgent to seek temporary replacements for the England players.

Meanwhile Rajasthan Royals have revealed that Archer will not return because he is injured and not for any other reason.

With CSK and Rajasthan Royals knocked out of the tournament, they are not affected by the absence of England players.

“It is not a case of not being willing because we are out of reckoning for playoffs. He is nurturing an injury and we are prioritizing his fitness,” an RR official said.

The ECB has named Jofra Archer, If buttlerWill Jacks and Overton in the England Squad for the three ODI match against West Indies. It means all these players will not be available for the playoffs of the IPL and will have to return after the league stages of the IPL 2025.

The IPL 2025 is set to resume on May 17 in Bengaluru with the knockouts will begin on May 29 and the final is on June 03.
