With the IPL 2025 is set to resum on May 17, England batter Jos Buttler and South Africa fast bowler Gerald Coetzee will be joining the rest of the Gujarat Titans squad on May 14.

There were only two overseas players from the GT squad to had left India after the IPL got suspended on May 09 due to cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan.

Their other overseas players, Rashid Khan, Sherfane Rutherford, Kagiso Rabada and Karim Janat had stayed with the rest of the squad in India.

Rutherford has been named in the West Indies ODI squad for the series in England from May 29 to June 03, which will class with the playoff stage of IPL 2025.

While England have not yet named their squad for the series, Buttler would be expected to be in consideration for that series.

Currently, Gujarat Titans are the leader of the IPL 2025 points table ahead of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru on the net run rate with having three matches left in the group stages.

They were first team to resume training once the ceasefire between the two countries was announced on May 10, paving the way for the IPL’s resumption.

Their next match will be played on May 18 against Delhi Capitals in Delhi and they finish the league phase with two home matches in Ahmedabad.

Their next game will be against Lucknow Super Giants on May 22 and Chennai Super Kings on May 25.

BCCI has released the revised schedule for the remainder of the season on Monday. There are 13 league games to go in addition to the four playoff fixtures.

The rest of the league phase will be played at six venues – Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Bengaluru, while the venues for the playoffs is yet to be announced.
