With three Punjab Kings overseas players – Xavier Bartlett, Azmatullah Omarzai and Mitchell Owen having confirmed to the franchise that they will return to play the remainder of the IPL 2025, which is set to resume on May 17.

However, there is no confirmation on the other overseas players, Marcus Stoinis, Marco Jansen, Josh Inglis, and Aaron Hardie will return to India.

Marco Jansen and Josh Inglis were both named in South Africa and Australia’s test squads for the World Test Championship (WTC) final at Lord’s from June 11.

Despite all the PBKS Overseas players returning home, most of their overseas coaching staff stayed in India, including head coach Ricky Ponting and assistant coaches Brad Haddin and James Hopes.

The Franchise has asked its players and support staff to reassemble in the next two days.

PBKS will resume training on Thursday in Jaipur, their new base for the remaining games against Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians.

They are in the third position of the IPL 2025 points table with 15 points after 11 games and were in the middle of their 12th league fixture against Delhi Capitals in Dharamsala on May 08 when the match had to be abandoned during the first innings because of escalating cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan.

Following the ceasefire on May 10, the resumption of the IPL became a possibility, and teams began recalling their overseas players.

The IPL has announced the revised schedule for the remainder of the IPL 2025 season on May 12; there are 13 league games to be played across six venues, Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Bengaluru while the venues for the playoffs are yet to be announced.

The Qualifier 01 will be played on May 29 while the Eliminator and Qualifiers 02 on May 30 and June 01 while the final are slated on June 03.
