Delhi: Former Australia cricket team captain Tim Paine has launched a scathing attack on Cricket South Africa (CSA). He accused the board of hiding information about South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada’s drug test case. According to Penn, Rabada was given a one -month suspension in a ‘convenient’ manner to be fully available to play against Australia in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final in June.

Last month, Rabada suddenly returned home from the IPL citing personal reasons. However, it was later revealed that he consumed recreational drugs. Due to this, one month was banned, which has now been completed. After this he is again available for international and domestic cricket.

In a conversation on Sen Radio, Tim Paine expressed his displeasure, saying, “It is all very strange. Taking drugs, whether it is recreational or performance.

Penn further said, “Now he will not only play against Australia in the World Test Championship final, but can also play again in the IPL. No one was told what he took, who suspended him and what was the process. The public should get the answer.”

WTC final on 11-15 June

The final match of the ICC World Test Championship will be played from 11 to 15 June at Lord’s Cricket Ground, with Australia and South Africa teams face to face.
