Former Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin has expressed his unwavering support for the Indian Armed Forces after they launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam. The Padma Shri recipient conveyed his solidarity with the forces via a post on X. “Thoughts with our armed forces. #OperationSindoor,” he wrote on X.

The Indian Armed Forces are engaged in countering Pakistan‘s unprovoked aggression against Indian civilians and military establishments along the northern and western borders.

Despite missile and drone attacks launched by Pakistan, India’s air defence system successfully intercepted the threats, preventing extensive damage.

Earlier, Smriti Mandhana, vice-captain of the Indian Women’s Cricket Team, also paid tribute to the Indian Armed Forces, recognising their bravery, dedication, and sacrifices.”Saluting the courage, commitment and sacrifice of our Indian Armed Forces. Your strength protects our freedom. We stand with you, always, Vande Mataram.”

India’s cricketing icon, Rohit Sharma, also praised the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy for their unwavering dedication.

He shared his tribute through a post on his official X account.”With every passing moment, with every decision taken I feel extremely proud of our Indian Army, Indian Air Force & Indian Navy. Our warriors are standing tall for our nation’s pride. It’s important for every Indian to be responsible and refrain from spreading or believing any fake news. Stay safe, everyone!#OperationSindoor #JaiHind.”
