Former Chennai Super Kings batsman Suresh Raina recently gave an interview and during this he made references to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals Has taken a sharp dig at IPL teams like (DC). Talking to Lallantop, Raina said that the teams which partied heavily in the initial season of the Indian Premier League have not won a single trophy till now.

Raina said that Chennai Super Kings (CSK) never organized parties after their matches and that is why the team has won 5 IPL and 2 Champions League trophies. Raina recalled the time when the Indian Premier League was all about glitz and glamour, with cricketers and celebrities hanging out together.

Raina said, “Chennai has never partyed. That's why they have been the most successful. 2-3 teams that party have not won the IPL yet. There are some teams which have not won till date, they party hard. We (CSK) didn't do that. That's why we have 5 IPL trophies and 2 Champions League trophies.

Raina revealed that the reasoning behind CSK not having a party was that every cricketer and management staff were serious about their work. Speaking further, Raina said, “If you party till late night, how will you play in the morning? In the heat of May-June, if you party the whole night, how will you play the afternoon match? The whole team is worried about this.” But I was paying special attention not to party till late night. I had to keep this in mind that if I don't play well, then why would my captain choose me? Now, I am free. I'm retired, we can party.
