New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bengaluru chose Mayank Agarwal to replace the injured Devdutt Padikkal, while Delhi Capitals agreed a deal with Afghanistan’s Sediqullah Atal to take the place of England star Harry Brook for the remainder of the 2025 Indian Premier League.
Padikkal scored 247 runs in 10 matches, including two fifties, but has sustained a right hamstring injury that has ruled him out of the ongoing tournament.
Agarwal went unsold in the auctions in November of last year and has scored 2661 runs in 127 matches in the premier domestic franchise T20 tournament.
The right handed batter has scored one century and 3 half centuries and joins RCB for a price tag of Rs 1 crore.RCB are currently second on the points table with 16 points from 11 games and are on the brink of qualification for the play-offs.
