Royal Challengers Bangalore, who are performing brilliantly in IPL 2025, have suffered a shock at the significant turn of the season. The team's opener Devdutt has been eliminated from the entire tournament due to Hymstring injury. His place has been replaced by the franchise in the squad, an experienced captain of Karnataka.
RCB Nemank Agarwal has been included in the team. Mayank was not bought by any franchise in the mega auction this time, but now he has been signed by RCB for Rs 1 crore in the last phase. Last season, Mayank played for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Devdutt Padikkal, who gave left -handed option in the top order of RCB, could not live up to expectations this season. He got a chance in 10 matches, scoring 247 runs at an average of 27.44. During this time, two half -centuries came out of his bat and the best score was 61 runs.
His strike rate was 150.60, but on big occasions, his failure failed the team. After a poor performance of last season, RCB bought him this time for Rs 2 crore. However, he is now out of the team due to injury.
RCB has played 11 matches in IPL 2025 so far, out of which 8 have won and scored 16 points. Despite this, the team has not been able to have an official entry in the playoffs. The reason is that Gujarat Titans also have 16 points, and in such a situation only the teams scoring 18 points can get the guarantee of qualification. RCB now has three more matches in the league stage. If the team wins at least one of these matches, then it will get 18 points and the path of the playoff will be almost confirmed.
