On the basis of the brilliant bowling of R Sai Kishore, Gujarat Titans defeated Punjab Kings by 3 wickets in the IPL 2024 match played in Mullanpur on Sunday (April 21). This is Gujarat's fourth win in eight matches and the team has reached sixth position in the points table.

While chasing the target, Gujarat got its first blow at a total score of 25 runs. But then captain Shubhman Gill and Sai Sudarshan took over the innings. Gill scored 35 runs in 29 balls and Sudarshan scored 31 runs in 34 balls. Rahul Tewatia, who came to bat at number six, played an unbeaten inning of 36 runs in 18 balls and gave the team victory with 5 balls remaining.

For Punjab, Harshal Patel took 3 wickets, Liam Livingstone took 2 wickets, Arshdeep Singh and captain Sam Curran took 1 wicket each.

Earlier, after winning the toss and batting first, Punjab Kings scored 142 runs. Prabhsimran Singh scored 35 runs in 21 balls and Sam Curran scored 20 runs in 19 balls. Harpreet Brar, who came to bat at number nine, played a stormy innings of 29 runs in 12 balls.

For Gujarat, Sai Kishore took 4 wickets, Noor Ahmed and Mohit Sharma took 2 wickets each, while Rashid Khan took 1 wicket in his account.
