PBKS vs LSG Playing 11: Shreyas Iyer-led Punjab Kings will square off against Rishabh Pant-led Lucknow Super Giants in the 54th match of the IPL 2025 season on May 04 at HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala.

Punjab Kings have 6 wins out of 10 games, with their victories coming in the games against Gujarat Titans, Lucknow Super Giants, Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and two fixtures against Chennai Super Kings while the defeat comes in the games against Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and reverse fixtures against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

The match against Kolkata Knight Riders ended with no result. On the other hand, LSG has five wins out of 10 games with their victories coming in the games against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Meanwhile the defeat comes in the games against Chennai Super Kings, Punjab Kings, Mumbai Indians and two fixtures against Delhi Capitals.

With PBKS secured fourth position, LSG sits in the sixth position of the IPL 2025 Points table.

Lucknow Super Giants won the toss and opted to bowl. Speaking at the toss, Rishabh Pant said, “We will bowl first. We feel it is a bowling first. We don’t know how it is going to play. Looks like, it will stop a bit. Little loose on the top. Still, a good wicket.”

“It is going to be a good match. Bowling first we will have the advantage and see how the game unfolds and that’s the kinda of advantage we were looking to have. Just trying to be simple more often. You want people to have conversation when you are losing. Good to see youngsters stepping in,” concluded Pant.

Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer said, “We would have bowled first as well. The wicket was covered for a while and it was pouring yesterday and the day before. It was under the sheets and you know the moisture it adopts to.”

“The grass is thicker. I don’t want to predict how the wicket is going to be. We are up for the competition. You gotta to take positives from the game. You can’t dwell on how bad you have done in a particular game,” he added.
