Punjab got off to a good start after winning the toss and batting first. Sam Karan and Prabhasimran Singh gave Punjab a flying start. The duo added 52 runs for the first wicket in 5.3 overs.

However, wickets fell at regular intervals and 7 batsmen were dismissed for just 99 runs. After this, Harpreet Brar scored 29 runs in just 12 balls with the help of 4 fours and 1 six to take the score past 140. Prabhasimran Singh top scored for Punjab with 35 runs. He hit 3 fours and 3 sixes. Ravi Sai Kishore took the maximum 4 wickets from Gujarat.
