Delhi: On May 2, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad suffered a 38 -run defeat at the hands of Gujarat Titans (GT). In terms of statistics, SRH still has little possibility of playoffs, but in view of the current performance, he does not seem to reach the top-4. Under the captaincy of Pat Cummins, the team started the season, but now the situation has become such that SRH is in ninth position after winning only 3 out of 10 matches.

Rayudu criticized SRH's poor performance

Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batsman Ambati Rayudu strongly criticized SRH's game after the match. He said, “Now the path ahead is very difficult for SRH. Their game is getting worse day by day. Point tables are now looking like a map of India, there is a fall directly to Chennai after Hyderabad. I don't think these teams will be able to return in this season. The lack of enthusiasm on their fields is clearly visible.”

SRH lost the match in the first innings

Rayudu believes that after GT's big score of 224 runs, the match for SRH was almost ended there. He said, “SRH's bowling was quite simple. Fielding also made many mistakes, drop catches, Missfield, as if the team was not present in the field. On the other hand, GT showed great energy.”

Only Abhishek shines in SRH's batting

Chasing the target of 224 runs, only opener Abhishek Sharma showed some struggle. He scored 74 runs in 41 balls. Travis Head was dismissed early and Ishaan Kishan was able to score just 13 runs while playing a slow innings. Heinrich Klassen and Aniket Verma also flopped. Captain Cummins and Nitish Reddy hit some fours, but the team could not even reach around the target.

Rayudu praised GT's fielding

Rayudu appreciated the tight bowling of the famous Krishna and 2 important wickets. He also praised the best catch of Jos Buttler and Rashid Khan. He said, “If Abhishek Sharma's innings is removed, SRH would have nothing to talk about. Both GT bowling and fielding were fantastic. The famous Krishna took two important wickets in the middle overs. Butler and Rashid caught extraordinary catch.”

SRH's next match with DC

SRH will now play its next match against Delhi Capitals (DC) on 5 May at his home ground. DC is necessary to win to stay in the playoff race. They are in a better position with 6 wins in 10 matches.
