Siraj, Prasidh Stars as Gujarat Secure 38 Run Victory Against Hyderabad

The Gujarat Titans’ bowlers, Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna, helped the side restrict Hyderabad to 186 runs in the IPL 2025 game played on May 02 at Narendra Modi Stadium.

They picked two wickets each to keep SRH in check to secure a 38-run victory in Friday’s clash.

Batting first, Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill opened the innings while Mohammed Shami opened the bowling attack. The duo went on to score 82 runs in the powerplay and continued their onslaught against Hyderabad.

However, Zeeshan Ansari got the necessary breakthrough picking the wicket of Sudharsan for 48 runs, which included 9 fours. But SRH’s efforts went in vain as Gill, along with Buttler went on for aggressive boundaries at Ahmedabad.

Meanwhile, Gill went on to score fifty on 25 deliveries which included five fours and 1 sixes. He went on to assault Hyderabad bowling with boundaries before being dismissed on a run out for 76 runs.

Jos Buttler also went on to smash his fifty and scored 64 runs before being dismissed by Pat Cummins. His partnership with Washington Sundar saw 200-run mark.

Jaydev Unadkat went on to pick three wickets in the final over of the innings where Gujarat Titans scored 224 runs.

Chasing the target, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma went on to open the attack while Siraj opened the bowling attack.

However, Travis Head lost his wicket to Prasidh Krishna in the 5th over. Hyderabad went on to score 57 runs in the powerplay.

Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan lost his wicket to Gerald Coetzee in the 10th over. However, Klaasen joined the well settled batter Abhishek crossing the 100-run mark.

Ishant Sharma got the breakthrough picking the wicket of Abhishek Sharma for 74 runs and with the dismissial of Heinrich Klaasen for 23 runs by Prasidh Krishna quickened the wicket loss.

Siraj went on to dismiss Aniket Verma and kamindu Mendis in succession during the 17th over. With Nitish Kumar (21) and Pat Cummins (19) raised the score to 186 runs in their 20 over innings.
