Gujarat Titans vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Match Report: Gujarat Titans defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 38 runs in the IPL 2025 match played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday (May 2). This is the seventh defeat of the Hyderabad team in ten matches and the team still remains in the playoff race.
Hyderabad, chasing the target, got the first blow on the score of 49 runs. Abhishek Sharma held one end, but Travid Head (20), Ishaan Kishan (13) and Heinrich Klassen (23) could not support him, due to which no major partnership was seen.
Abhishek batted brilliantly and scored 74 runs in 41 balls with the help of 4 fours and 6 sixes. Apart from him, no other player stays at the crease for a long time. Due to which the Hyderabad team could score 6 wickets only 186 runs.
Famous for Gujarat, Krishna and Mohammad Siraj took 2–2 wickets, Ishant Sharma and Garald Coitje took 1–1 wickets.
After receiving the first batting invitation, Gujarat started a great start and Gill along with Sai Sudarshan added 87 runs in 6.5 overs for the first wicket. The team got the first blow as Sudarshan, who scored 48 runs in 23 balls with the help of 9 fours.
This was followed by a half -century partnership for the second wicket between Gill and Butler. Gill scored 76 runs in 38 balls, hitting 10 fours and 2 sixes. Butler scored 64 runs in 37 balls with the help of 3 fours and 4 sixes. Due to which Gujarat scored 224 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in the prescribed 20 overs.
Jaydev Unadkat took 3 wickets for Hyderabad. Zeeshan Ansari and captain Pat Cummins took 1–1 wickets.
