He is scoring runs, taking wickets, grabbing catches, and leading by example. There is hardly anything that Hardik Pandya can’t do in the Indian Premier League 2025. After a difficult last season, the all-rounder has completely turned things around, with his match-winning performances helping India win the ICC T20 World Cup in 2024 and the Champions Trophy this year. Mumbai Indians went off track at the start of the 18th season of the tournament, but are now winning consistent games after returning to form.

Their match against the Rajasthan Royals was the best of the season, registering a 100-run win to reach 14 points from 11 games and also the top-of-the-table spot.

They are just one win away from making it to the playoffs. Hardik has been a class apart as a skipper and is contributing across departments. He has taken 13 wickets and scored 157 runs in 10 matches, making him the best all-rounder in the ongoing edition. Harbhajan Singh, who has been a part of the franchise, heaped massive praise on Hardik.

“He is the best all-rounder in white-ball cricket, and there is no one like him. Hardik can purely play as a batter or as a bowler. He has been sensational for Mumbai Indians,” Harbhajan Singh said on the broadcasting channel.

Pryagyan Ojha, who also played for Mumbai in the past, reflected on Pandya’s success. “He showed us what he can do as a captain when he was with the Gujarat Titans. Actually, you can’t change things in one night. He led Mumbai for the first time last season, and it was a tough season. He made a comeback for Team India and contributed with the bat and ball. Hardik is now giving performances with the bat and ball and also as the captain of MI,” he said.
