The Punjab Kings leg-spinner first removed Deepak Hooda with a well-disguised googly, followed it up by cleaning up Anshul kambojand then dismissing Noor Ahmad with a ripping leg-break. He ended the game with figures of 4/32 in 3 overs — a match-defining effort.

Chahal’s previous hat-trick came in IPL 2022 while playing for Rajasthan Royals against Kolkata Knight Riders. In a fiery over, he scalped four wickets including the prized dismissals of Venkatesh Iyer, Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Maviand Pat Cummins — all in a single over.
