The middle-order batters Rinku Singh and Angkrish Raghuvanshi are rebuilding their innings in the IPL 2025 game against Delhi Capitals on April 29.

After quick wickets, the duo helped the side to cross the 150-run mark after with the side struggling on 4/113.

Batting first, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Sunil Narine opened the innings while Mitchell Starc opened the bowling attack. Picking well-calculated shots, both openers went on to score boundaries and sixes.

However, Starc dismissed Gurbaz in the third over of the game, making Rahane walk off the ground. The KKR skipper joined Sunil Narine to score a decent score of 79 runs in power play.

However, they went on to lose wickets in quick succession as Narine sent out for 27 runs by Vipraj Nigam. In the very next over, Axar Patel dismissed KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane for 26 on a lbw.

After Venkatesh Iyer’s dismissal for 7 runs by Axar Patel, Kolkata lost four wickets for 113 runs. However, Angkrish Rghuvanshi and Rinku Singh are forging a partnership aiming to finish strongly.

Speaking at the toss, Delhi Capitals captain Axar Patel said, “We will field first, becomes easier to bat in the second innings because of the dew. We are playing with the same XI.”

“I think it’s a slow wicket, doesn’t look dry. Think a 190-200 pitch. Will assess the conditions and try to restrict them to a lower total. You need to stay in the present. We wanted to focus on the process, not worry about the result. Need to excecute our plans.”

Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders captain Ajinkya Rahane said, “We have one change, Anukul Roy comes in. It’s hard to read the wicket, I thought the left-arm spinner will be a good option on this surface. We need to win five out of five, as simple as that.”

“We are looking to play one game at a time and we will move forward accordingly. It’s hard to read this wicket. Need to adapt to the conditions and assess quickly.”
