Five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday (April 27) achieved a unique feat after becoming the first team to register 150 wins in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
MI reached this milestone after they defeated the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai by 54 runs in match 45 of the ongoing 18th edition of the cash-rich league.
A brilliant four-wicket haul by right-arm pacer Jasprit Bumrah and three wickets by Trent Boult after Suryakumar Yadav and Ryan Rickelton fiftires powered the Mumbai side to a commanding win against LSG in IPL 2025.
This was the fifth consecutive win for the Hardik Pandya-led side in the ongoing edition. As it stands, they sit in the third position on the IPL 2025 points table with six wins in 10 matches of the competition for a total of 12 points.
This victory also marked their 150th win after playing a total of 271 matches in the history of the IPL. No other team has achieved this landmark so far in the competition. While they have 148 outright wins, MI also won two super over eliminators.
The second-best team in this list is Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who have won 140 times after playing 248 matches in the competition, having missed two seasons due to a ban on the aftermath of the IPL fixing scandal.
