But this weekend, there will be just KKR vs PBKS in Kolkata, and from now on, the IPL schedule will adapt a new routine.

To maintain the fairness of rest periods for teams and ensure logistical efficiency, the IPL organisers have arranged the schedule in accordance. Consequently, Saturday, April 26, features only a single match to maintain competitive balance and avoid unnecessary player fatigue later in the tournament.

And when it comes to Saturday matches, the adaptation of a single match will be the new normal in the remainder of the IPL 2025 season. Although the last three Saturdays saw double headers, there won't be two matches on Saturdays anymore.
